Adonia brings the Moroccan bathing experience to Westcliff-on-Sea.
The hammam ritual, a treatment like no other, goes back centuries and is inspired by ancient Moroccan beauty customs in which your mind, body and skin will be purified during a luxury bathing experience. The ritual involves steam, exfoliation and cleansing of the skin with a kees (mitt).
You will not only experience the purifying and detoxifying benefits of the rituals but you will be welcomed into a place of calm and serenity, far away from the hustle and bustle of modern living.
We also offer a range of holistic massage and therapies including body massage, back and neck massage with aromatherapy oil blends, Indian head massage, hot stone massage and reflexology.
You can finish your experience with a little retail therapy in the boutique area, where you can find hand-picked items from around the world.

Our Hammam Spa is based on authentic Moroccan traditions and offers a fusion of ancient therapies and contemporary holistic treatments for both him and her. Your experience begins when you are accompanied through the secret lion’s head door into our fabulous consultation and changing area. You will have entered a place of tranquillity and relaxation.

Hammam

Steam session followed by full body exfoliation with a special glove (kees), leaving your skin soft and smooth. A gentle exfoliating cream is applied to the sensitive skin of the face followed by a Rassoul (clay from the Atlas mountains) face mask to purify the complexion.

Massage

Experience a wide range of massage options to revitalise your body mind and soul. Relieve any built-up tension and find your choice of massage suited to your needs. You will leave revived and rejuvenated.

Beauty

We offer a range of treatments including facials to suit your needs or preferences, as well as smaller treatments such as eyebrow and eyelash tinting.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish. There was a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere throughout and the decoration felt luxurious, adding to the ambience. I had the full body massage, which was great. The therapist was attentive, professional and very friendly. I did not feel rushed at all before, during or after the treatment. After the massage I was shown to a relaxation area where I was offered tea and fruit and time to unwind. Excellent service, treatment and atmosphere. Highly recommend
